Demeter’s story grounds us in the rhythms of earth and survival. This workshop examines the Eleusinian Mysteries and the agricultural rituals that honoured fertility, labor, and the moral exchange between humans and land. Participants will explore the connections between grain, grief, and gratitude as symbols of cyclical regeneration. Through shared reflection and seasonal craft, we’ll reimagine how modern lives might reintegrate ritualized awareness of growth and harvest, reconnecting human effort with the sacred continuity of the natural world.

Workshop structure

• We begin with a short welcome and introduction where participants can share their experience with Artemis of Ephesus and any questions or themes they are bringing into the session.

• The main lecture follows, with a guided look at the artifacts, temple offerings, ancient sources, along with the major interpretations that have shaped its study.
